The Christmas (almost) snowstorm of 2008

For those in Snow country this post will seem like, "What's the big deal?" However, for those who are Oregonians you will realize the singularity of these pictures. We have had a significant weather event over the last week or so culminating in a snow and ice storm like we have never seen in our 30 years in Oregon. We will let the pictures do most of the talking. Enjoy!

Jocy and Mikeyla taking a spin on the sled~

These 2 pictures were taken about 12 hours apart. Note the difference in depth of snow on the kiddie picnic table!

Aaron and Mikeyla on the toboggan with Grandpa driving

Now, Aaron driving (Scary!!)and G'pa and Mikeyla taking a turn

We think that Aaron would much rather be driving the ATV than sledding!

WOW! That's tons of snow. Are your trees going to be ok? Emi was looking over my shoulder and saw the pictures of Jocy and Mikayla sledding and said "aw...I wish we were there." We love and miss you. Try to stay warm. Good thing you have that woodstove.

you got some pretty neat pictures. I love the snow...just not the icy roads. The snow seems to make everything quieter. Everyone seems to slow down some too. :)

Fun snow! Too bad it couldn't have waited a few days to make it a true white Christmas. I bet Jack would LOVE to be out there with all of his cousins playing on your fun snow toys.

I need a lot more information regarding the construction of that so called tow-boggin. The ingenuity or insanity (you can choose) is in the details.
Looks like a ton of fun. Wish we could have been there. Lots of love Mike N.

I love the "Woman at the Well". Maybe someone will do a painting!
